With its low, open silhouette and luminous floral composition, Azure Orchid creates a very different spatial presence from a traditional vase. Rather than drawing the eye upward, it opens outward, making it especially effective as a centerpiece or welcoming decorative object.

Consider it for an entryway or welcoming space, a console, dining table, coffee table, center table or kitchen island, as well as within a refined living room, private residence, hotel suite, reception area, hospitality interior or gallery-inspired setting.

Placed near natural light, the translucent Liuli allows the bowl to change gently throughout the day. Blue, violet and green move through different levels of clarity and intensity, while the sculpted orchids cast delicate reflections and shadows around the piece.

It may be styled with fruit or selected objects, but it is equally compelling left completely open. In a carefully composed interior, that sense of space can become part of the design itself.

THE ART OF LIULI

Created through an intricate lost-wax casting process, each piece begins with its own mold. After the wax is removed and the Liuli undergoes high-temperature forming, the outer mold must be broken away before the piece can be carefully refined, ground, and polished.

COLORS WITHIN THE LIULI

The colors are not painted onto the finished surface.

They are formed within the Liuli during the high-temperature process, becoming part of the material itself. As light passes through different colors and depths of Liuli, luminous blue, violet and subtle green reveal the sculptural layers of the orchids and the flowing form of the bowl.

Because of this process, small variations may appear from piece to piece. Subtle natural bubbles and gentle flowing patterns may also appear within the Liuli. These are characteristic of the making process and contribute to the individual character of each piece, rather than being considered defects.

THE BEAUTY OF LEAVING ROOM

Fill it with fruit. Fill it with the small treasures of everyday life. Or leave it exactly as it is and allow the flowers, color and light to speak for themselves.
