Azure Orchid is designed to hold visual presence within a room. Its vertical silhouette gives the piece architectural clarity, while the expansive floral crown introduces movement, softness and layered color.

Placed on an entrance console, pedestal, sideboard or carefully considered display surface, it can become a focal point without requiring additional floral decoration. Its palette works particularly well with stone, warm or pale wood, glass, cream and neutral upholstery, as well as restrained metallic finishes.

Within residential interiors, boutique hotels, reception areas, hospitality spaces and gallery-inspired settings, the work can function not simply as a vase, but as a permanent floral sculpture — bringing color, light and the suggestion of nature into the interior throughout the year.

Its relationship with light is especially important. Daylight reveals the translucency and individual layers of the blossoms, while softer ambient illumination deepens the blue and violet tones, giving the work a more intimate character after evening falls.

THE ART OF LIULI

Created through an intricate lost-wax casting process, each piece begins with its own mold. After the wax is removed and the Liuli undergoes high-temperature forming, the outer mold must be broken away before the piece can be carefully refined, ground, and polished.

One mold. One piece.

For a floral composition of this complexity, the process allows the sculptural layers, curves and unfolding forms of the orchids to be expressed with depth, while the translucent character of Liuli allows light to become part of the artwork itself.

COLORS WITHIN THE LIULI

The colors are not painted onto the finished surface.

They are formed within the Liuli during the high-temperature process, becoming part of the material itself. As light passes through different colors and depths of Liuli, azure blue, violet and subtle green reveal themselves with changing intensity across the sculptural form.

This relationship between material and light means the work does not appear exactly the same throughout the day. Different blossoms, edges and translucent layers may come forward as the surrounding light changes.

Because of this process, small variations may appear from piece to piece. Subtle natural bubbles and gentle flowing patterns may also appear within the Liuli. These are characteristic of the making process and contribute to the individual character of each piece, rather than being considered defects.
